Enables cost-effective IT Security, WAN Visibility, Control and Intelligent Acceleration for Education and Mid-sized Commercial Customers.

April 27, 2010 – ContentKeeper Technologies has announced that it has teamed up with Exinda, a global provider of WAN optimization solutions, to deliver a unique and comprehensive, Internet filtering, protocol and bandwidth management solution that makes it easy for organizations to tune their network and Internet usage based firmly on the business classification of traffic rather than just the traditional network based protocols management offered by most vendors. The solution is available immediately from ContentKeeper Technologies authorized partners.

The one-box solution combines a virtual instance of Exinda's ExOS WAN Optimization software, running within a virtualized services instance on ContentKeeper's powerful enterprise-level Web Security Gateway (CK-WSG) technology platform and patented collaborative filtering process. The powerful joint solution will enable greater visibility and control over network traffic, allowing enterprises to reduce non-business related activity, accelerate data and application access for users. It also adds powerful tools to help secure corporate networks and information from Web-based threats.

The solution will provide visibility and control over networks from a business usage orientated angle, allowing organizations to make improved business decisions based on instantaneous feedback. Exinda's Unified Performance Management (UPM) solution integrates advanced, best-of-breed visibility, traffic-shaping, protocol management and WAN optimization technologies into a single appliance designed to improve network productivity. The ContentKeeper Web Security Gateway, supported by the real-time, proactive detection and analysis capabilities of ContentKeeper's 24-hour Internet Defense Operations Center (CK-IDOC), enables organizations to enforce Acceptable Usage Policies and secure the network from Web-based threats. Management of the solution is made simple through a unified management console.

"Many of our mutual customers are actively encouraging the integration of multiple platforms with complementary functions for reduced operating cost with greater efficiency. This trend speaks to the pain points that companies -- large and small -- have been feeling over the past decade," said Michael Sharma, CEO Exinda. "In the past, many of our customers have purchased two separate appliances for the branch office – one for web and content filtering, another for application visibility, reporting and shaping. This solution eliminates yet another box, simplifying the network and reducing the costs."

"The combined offering allows comprehensive management of network traffic based on the 'business versus non business' classification of the actual content within the traffic streams," said David Wigley, CEO ContentKeeper. "With this offer, we are able to leverage virtualization in order to add internet bandwidth management, QoS controls and social application controls at the Internet Gateway to our existing web filtering and security solution."
